بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
That baseline tho!!!
As-Salaamu ‘Alaikum Ma Black Bebies!!!
I remember the first time I heard A Tribe Called Quest.
It was a Friday Night, I believe because the only show that showed music videos back then was “Friday Night Videos”
Anyway, my whole family was sitting in front of the T.V.
BUT
AS
SOON
AS
IT
CAME
ON
I JUMPED UP
AND
STARTED
DANCING
Doing the Dance
OF
The Stick Figure.
I guess it was just “The Running Man” LOL
But it was also a little African when he broke it down
AND
GOT
LOW
Man, there is no feeling in the world like the one that comes from HIP-HOP
Except JAZZ, of course
AND FUNK, sometimes.
AND BLUES, occasionally.
CLASSICAL too, if the mood is right.
BUT
I digress.
I never even thought about the fact that they might have sampled somebody
UNTIL
I
HEARD
A
REMIX
OF
One of Musiq Soulchild’s Songs
I Forget which one
BUT
He sampled the same song.
SO
I Googled it
AND
Found out about these Brothers.
It’s funny because they put out a lot of music
Over several years
BUT
I had never heard of them
They were four VERY TALENTED BROTHERS
ALL
Of whom could sing
BUT
For some reason they added a devil to the group
I
HATE
WHEN
MUSICIANS
ADD
DEVILS
TO
THEIR
GROUP
It’s just
WRONG
!!!
They’ll just take the experience and go off and form their own group with all devils.
Ask Bill Evans.
They hire based on race.
But we think it’s something wrong about doing that.
WE
GON’
FIND
OUT
THE
HARD
WAY
When you find yourself completely shut out
After teaching devils how to play OUR music.
They do it all the time.
Then name Eminem the #1 emcee of all time.
SMH
But anyway,
If you’re still interested
Here’s the number
