The seeds we spit will automatically produce more trees and thus more fruit.
It is so natural you don’t even have to make the effort to plant them

INTERNATIONAL HIP-HOP MONTH is coming to a close. But when you are a B-GIRL like me it is really a lifestyle and you know we DON’T STOP WON’T STOP. KEEP ON TIL THE BREAK OF DAWN SUN TO SUN AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON….
So the only thing I really didn’t do yet was watch a flick. There are so many. I bought a videotape of Wildstyle from PRINCE WHIPPER WHIP back in about ’98 at a B-BOY CONVENTION. He autographed it and it was really dope. I am pretty sure that was the first HIP-HOP movie. Certified Classic.
A MUST SEE FOR ANY HEAD

I certainly never even saw one but I know you used to be able to get a “shave and a haircut” for one penny or two bits.

Anyway the B-Boy in the movie BEAT STREET told the op (quite convincingly) that his moves were not worth one half of a penny. Or a piece of a coin : a bit of a coin…
Wildstyle features every element prominently with the exception of the human beatbox. I don’t remember one beatbox in the whole movie. Even when DOUBLE TROUBLE was sitting on the stoop there was copious fingersnappage but no beatbox.
Presently my personal favorite strictly because it was MY first HIP-HOP movie that I was conscious enough to have fond memories of is KRUSH GROOVE.
I read that when they were approached about a movie they said they didn’t want to make a documentary. They wanted a real live ACTION movie with a captivating plot like old Westerns with shootouts and a damsel in distress
I think the hardest part of that whole movie was koo koo El Jay. And I don’t even like him. But when he came busting through the ceiling cutting up the floor knocking out windows and breaking down doors and whatnot that one scene immortalized and exemplified the essence of HIP-HOP’s aggressiveness that is rather scary to most people but is also indicative of our tenacity and determination to obstinantly DON’T STOP WON’T STOP – permanently cementing HIP-HOP MUSIC as a ubiquitous pillar of OURSTORY.
I saw BREAKIN’ and RAPPIN’ as a double feature. Not crazy about either one.
But I always loved this classic. CLASSIC – meaning it still sounds crisp and fresh forty years later.
If there was a rap in it it could be HIP-HOP’s theme song 😃 “Daylight doesn’t matter…”

It has to make me feel that way.
There are a lot of flicks that are not HIP-HOP but had a profound influence on future artists like the BRUCE LEE / Kung Fu theatre that used to come on after SOUL TRAIN.
Most of the time I would go outside when that came on but apparently the Brothers was really into it.

Then there are some films that don’t have NOTHING to do with HIP-HOP but the soundtrack is like that!

NEW JACK CITY brought about a renaissance of the movie soundtrack as a viable album choice and at the same time ushered in a new era/style of HIP-HOP originated by Teddy Riley – NEW JACK SWING. As demonstrated above. Dancers stopped breakin completely for a while and the ULTRA WAVE trendy/poser/mod/suit&tie steez which I thought was so fly took over.
(Breakin made a strong comeback a few years later along with the gear.)
But during the NEW JACK SWING ERA We actually used to dress up and wear cologne when we went out. Nylons and pumps for the girls and Creepers for the guys.
My homegirl Fatima got discovered at Paradise 24/Diamond Productions.
I saw her in the KNOW THE LEDGE video or some contemporary E and Rakim video then she blew up and started shinin’ me on.
That still hurts but Allah is Sufficient for me. الله اکبر 😄

Chapter 2
HOW TO KEEP FOOD FROM HURTING US
I thank Allah in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom Praises are due forever, for bringing to us life and light so that we may be able to enjoy life, and to enjoy that life longer than we have previously enjoyed it. Many years could be added to our lives if we only knew how to protect our lives from their enemies. As He (meaning Master Fard Muhammad) said to me, food keeps us here; it is essential that we eat food which gives and maintains life. That same food destroys life. Therefore, to keep this food from destroying our lives, we must protect our lives as well as we possibly can from the destruction of food. If we eat the proper food, and eat at the proper time, the food will keep us living a long, long time.
Eating three and four times a day is to your stomach as dripping water is to a stone or iron. The dripping water will eventually wear the stone and iron away. But, just to look at the water, it does not appear powerful enough in its dripping to wear the stone and iron away. It is the same with food; we continuously put it into our stomachs to be digested and eventually it will destroy the stomach. If we let our stomachs rest a while and gain strength, they will last longer in doing a job of digesting food for us.
EAT ONE MEAL a day and eat the food that will not harm you so quickly. You do not have to go into a long detailed knowledge of what foods you have to eat, because the wrong food has already been pointed out to you, foods such as pig, nuts, white flour, meats (of course, we eat some meats), the wrong kind of peas, the wrong kinds of breads, half-cooked breads, too many starchy foods, and too much sweets.
All of these foods destroy us. Bread should be cooked thoroughly and slowly, and if you have plenty of time, cook the bread two or three times and then eat it. Meat should also be cooked two or three times. Eating great meals of highly seasoned and sugared pastries is definitely not good for us. They most surely will take years of our lives away. You may eat some sweets, but do not make an entire meal of sweets and eat them everyday. Fruit is good for us, we should eat plenty fruits.
To live a long time, eat once every 24 hours or once every 48 hours, if you are able to do so. But, if you have heavy, manual work to do, do not try to eat once every two or three days. And, if you eat once a day, you should fast every month for two or three days. By doing that, there will be no poison left in the body at the end of a year to make you sick even one hour.
I WOULD LIKE for you, who try to live and eat just as this book teaches you, to please send me a letter telling me of the results that you have gained from eating like this article teaches you. I repeatedly teach that the way Allah, in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, has Taught us to eat will do away with many doctor bills and do away with much maiming of the limbs caused by certain diseases.
Sugar diabetes can be controlled and cured if you only eat right. Stay off of sugar and starchy foods and leave those old, white potatoes alone. Do not eat spaghetti and macaroni at every meal. If you are overweight, do not eat it at any meal, and if you want to live a long time, do not eat it at any meal. Food such as spaghetti and macaroni is processed, not cooked thoroughly, and is hard to digest.
THERE ARE SOME people who claim that they do not receive beneficial results as they should. This is due to wrong mental food that they are eating, which has an effect on their digestive system. To get good results from eating the proper foods, we must have good thoughts.

23. Keep up prayer, do unto others as you want done unto you.

This is going to be short because I need to cognit what I am about to relate to you.
I saw a young Hawaiian man no more than 22 exit a drugstore with ahuge bottle ofNyquil and you know what I was thinking right?
Uncharacteristically. Speechless. I watched him twist off the seal dispense with the measuring cup and drink straight out the bottle as he walked away.
Of course I had always asked for more cough syrup as a child but these children are getting HIGH!!!
BOUNDARIES. Neices and Nephews. First figure out why you want to get high in the first place.
Could be peer pressure. Could be stress. Could be just something to do because you always wanted to. But some things you want to do can kill you. Even if it takes a long time its still killing you.
Auntie cares but ultimately you have to decide that you want to live.
And dont do stupid stuff like drinking intoxicants smoking gambling adultery and pretty much everything listed above.
