I think it’s like quitting alcohol.
Most former alcoholics say they are a RECOVERING alcoholic. I’ve never heard anyone say, they are a former alcoholic because everyday is anyday.
They are aware that all it takes is one sip and it’s back to square one.

But TIME heals MOST WOUNDS.
Other wounds, you have to find the lesson, something positive in it, and revisit it, share it and make sure you don’t repeat the same mistake that led to the wound…

‘Retha wrote in her autobiography that one day Stevie Wonder called her with a song he had written for her. She told him, “Well, send it over….”

She had many problematic love songs.

This one, begging for another chance, is so exemplary of ALL SECOND CHANCE PLEAS.

I’ve heard the same.

My response is that of any one with COMMON SENSE.

Has anything other than TIME and YOUR REMORSEFUL FEELINGS, CHANGED???

Unless, you have become a MUSLIM LIKE ME, you can forget it.

ONLY ALLAH CAN EFFECT THE CHANGE ENOUGH TO WARRANT ME GIVING YOU A SECOND CHANCE.

OTHERWISE, I WOULD BE SETTING MYSELF UP FOR ANOTHER HEARTBREAK AND THAT IS STRAIGHT INSANITY.

If nothing has changed besides time and your remorse, we will run into THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM(S) as before, even if we cannot label them. WE WILL FACE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS THAT BROKE US UP.
WE ARE NOT COMPATIBLE.

That is, unless you have changed in the same proportion as I, meaning, accepted ISLAM, ALLAH and THE PEOPLE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.

This goes for the people that want to get back together AND those that don’t.
I mean really, what has changed?

If not your RELIGION, then NOTHING.

YOU WILL EVENTUALLY END UP FACING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS YOU FACED THE FIRST TIME.

CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY, THAT YOU ARE NOT STILL IN THAT SITUATION, AND HAVE ENOUGH DECENCY AND INTELLIGENCE TO REGRET THAT YOU EVER INVOLVED YOURSELF WITH THAT PERSON IN THE FIRST PLACE AND RESOLVE TO HAVE THE WISDOM TO NOT REPEAT YOUR PREVIOUS MISTAKE!!!

And the guy probably did base his song on the person I used to be – because if any song would make me reconsider, it’s this one (the violins OMG ❤ ❤ ❤ pizzicato 🙂 ) but I’m not her anymore….

I have to say tho. I don’t recall ever meeting him, but it’s possible he just made up an ending that he could live with because I didn’t like him. I’ve had several guys try to claim that I’m homo, because I don’t like them. Egos. I’m not gay. I just don’t like you. Really! I love this song tho. 🙂
