Last Thursday, as I was in Sujuud, a pair of food bearing visitors approached. I just pulled my curtain and they got the hint.

Later, I thought, “What a noble and generous way to spend THANKSGIVING?”
Actually GIVING!

Most people get caught up in the Thanks and forget all about the Giving. 🙂

In Islam, Charity/Zakat/Sadaqa is synonymous with Good Works. It is how we ask for Allah’s forgiveness. By giving – We are forgiven. 🙂

May Allah Bless us with a Successful Ramadhan and help us with our intention (nia) to continue to eat the same way in the next year and the rest of our lives, or every other day, or every seven days. 🙂

Additionally we are prescribed in How To Eat To Live to only eat ONE MEAL A DAY or ONE MEAL EVERY OTHER DAY. Thus, we cannot really call it a fast since this is the way we always eat.
A fast should be one to two days (24 or more hours) without taking food or anything like food.
I exhort you to fast each day of the next thirty-one days with the intent (nia) of continuing beyond and into the next year and the rest of your life eating the way Allah Has Prescribed.

After being denied admission to the local college, also being repelled by the insane prices of other universities, I was able to enroll in the EXTENSION program.

So, I am enrolled in a microbiology course under a different name, in keeping with my desire to earn a NURSING DEGREE. In Sha Allah!!!

So, while I was perusing the courses offered in the FREE EXTENSION PROGRAM, I could not help but observe that about 75 per cent of the courses were based on ANCIENT CHINESE CULTURE.

Medicine, Architecture, Agriculture, Fine Arts, etc….

So, reluctantly, (since being forced to watch CHINESE THEATRE as a youth, when no one was outside) I have become a purveyor of The Ancient Chinese Way.

It spans so many fields.

I have in no way abandoned Islam, but we are taught that there is truth in every religion, the Chinese being Hindu and their prophet Buddha. There is Truth that we can use in our every day life, but as with anything (our Beloved Messenger also taught us to imitate the ways of the devil Christians in certain areas, also other nationalities) we must always KEEP THE MESSENGER OUT FRONT.

Personally, I have found use in the practice of FENG SHUI, for decorating, also Tai Ji, for stress management and self defense.

The fundamental concept in all things Chinese, is Ji/Chi/Qi.

Which, to put it simply, is the UNIVERSAL FORCE that flows through the universe.

If you pronounce it JI, you will discover it is the basis of the word INNER JI (energy) and pondering that concept will give you an idea of just how profound the JI is.

I will not go further into it as, I really don’t want to, because the vastness of The Ji is infinite.

I have also studied REIKI and accupuncture/pressure. Kung Fu and it is really just beautiful if you internalize the concept of INNER PEACE, which brings us right back to the ETERNAL ISLAM. 🙂

So, my dearly Beloved Asiatic Black Sisters, I have decided to dedicate this entire issue to CHINESE.

I will give you a bit of advice if you seek further knowledge, the I Ching (Pronounced EE ching) is a method of divination. It is complex and confusing, but the bottom line is it can be boiled down to the flip of a coin.

So, if you can get your options down to two, you can save yourself the time of trying to decipher the complexity of the I Ching, with the flip of a coin.

The Holy Qur’an teaches against this, as we should seek guidance from Allah in all our decision making.

“BLOWING ON KNOTS” is I CHING or DIVINATION – FORTUNE TELLING, to put it simply. It can be found all through the Bible and Holy Qur’an.

When the Imams, Scholars and Scientists were trying to decide with whom, Prophet Esa’s (Salaah Allahu Alaihi wa Salaam) mother Maryam should live, they used three different methods.

It can be compared to drawing straws or “rock, paper, scissors.”

Of course, using intellect and facts is the BEST way to make a decision, but sometimes I admit, you just have to pick one or the other and in these cases some people refer to outside sources.

I know my son flips a coin to help make decisions and I told him it was okay. Because everyone, him included, cannot always hear the Voice of Allah, when faced with decisions.

I also think it is a good way to make sure he always has SOME money. Even just a coin is better than none.

So, as with all decisions, you ultimately have to make one. So be prepared to face the consequences or rewards. You are responsible!

The Devils’ New Year is upon us. The change in season is always so awkward for me. In New Orleans, I felt it profoundly.

I would have on my coat because the day before it was a chilly 60 degrees, but this day it is a hot 70! So frustrating!

But Beloveds, just bear it with patience, knowing that most of us are also going through the same changes. 🙂

THE PRIMARY TOOL IN CHINESE BUILDING DESIGN IS FENG SHUI (FUNG – SHWAY).
Not quite as indepth as ISLAMIC BUILDING DESIGN, however….

It is what it is.

I went to http://www.fengshui.com and couldn’t get in. Maybe you can have better luck. 🙂 In any case, a very simplified definition of FENG SHUI (Wind Water) is the placement of buildings, exteriour and interiour decor in a manner that is most in harmony with the natural world surrounding it – The Ji/Qi/Chi

I absolutely LOVE GEOGRAPHY, topography, anthropology and environment are all included in a thorough study of geography. What kind of people live there? What is their culture – meaning what kind of life do they live – food, clothing, language, theirstory, religion, music, &c.? What is the weather like? What type of plants and animals live there? What is the land like? Are there hills, mountains, rivers?

The children can do a report (visual, audio, video, montage, oral, written) on ANY AREA OF CHINA/CHINESE LIFE.
