FIFTY-THREE YEARS OF HIP-HOP DON’T STOP WON’T STOP KEEP ON!!!!
Here is a random collection of DESULTORY HipHop stuff I have collected for posterity’s sake 🙂 ❤ ❤ ❤
GOTTA START WITH THE START 🙂

I went to THE B-BOY SUMMIT in Dego back in 1999 I think and received an autographed videotape of this HIP-HOP CLASSIC from PRINCE WHIPPER HIMSELF!!!
I cannot let the national news broadcasters forget, regardless of their attempt to reconcile their initial animosity to our culture.
In 1979 this is what I heard on the news.
TOM BROKAW: “Rap is just a passing phase in the urban community…”
PETER JENNINGS: “It won’t last…”
DAN RATHER: “It’s just a fad…”
At eight years old I WAS PISSED OFF and now FORTY-SEVEN years later I can say, where are you guys?
WE ARE STILL HERE!
I used to have the biggest KRUSH on K.B.
Was blessed to interview him in the nineties when this Sister “dusted him off” and featured him on her album
I always say that to be considered REAL HIP-HOP you must have a D.J. and scratching!!!
I had the hugest KRUSH on JAY also.
He used to come up to my school after it let out because his gf went there. 😦
I used to gawk anyway!!! LOL ❤ ❤ ❤
Someone who used to tour with them told me that Run was one of those performers who used to throw up before a show!!!
That little gem is for an emcee friend of mine who named Run as his fave rapper.
btw you lose major points if you are a rapper with a favorite rapper
THIS IS ANOTHER HIP-HOP CLASSIC
KRUSH GROOVE
IT’S FREE!!!
This is for the SHA O KUNG FU HIP-HOP HEADS

THE WEST IS KNOWN FOR POPLOCKIN as opposed to our EASTCOAST counterpart particularly known for BREAKIN’ although breakin was extremely popular on the west coast
When I was in Juniour High 1982 this breaker used to come up to my school with his linoleum and entertain me and my bestie during nutrition. We used to ALWAYS be late to class. HE WAS SO DOPE!!!
In the nineties I went on a chaperoned date with Tic. LOL!!!
He became Muslim and I was well on my way 🙂 🙂 🙂
THIS IS THE BEST I CAN DO FOR THIS HIP-HOP CLASSIC
BREAKIN
Sidenote: I as still offended that they did not get a SISTER to play the role of the girl!!! Especially when LEILA ROCHON HAS A CAMEO!!! SHE COULD HAVE EASILY PLAYED THE LEADING LADY!!! ( SCREAMING!!!!! )
Also offended at the bodega scene OBVIOUSLY SET IN NEW YORK as there are no such things as bodegas in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!!!
Finally, that the most famous scene in this movie is the black guy sweeping up outside a store is so blatantly RACIST!!!
BREAKIN’ SPECIFICALLY THE UPROCK EVOLVED FROM THE AFRO-BRAZILIAN MARTIAL ART CAPOEIRA
I met a brother who told me he was breakin at the closing of the 1984 olympics in L.A. s/o YAHYA!!!
THE RAPPER JALIL HAS SOME NEW WHODINI MERCH FOR YA’LL

Hip-Hop Don’t Stop Won’t Stop WE AIN’T FINISHED!
But I’ma stop right here.
The homie said there was much ado about NE’s “The Culture” tour because Is NE Hip-Hop?
First I didn’t know what The Culture meant at the time.
But truthfully, the world’s introduction to NE is 8 bars delivered by RALPHIE.
FACTS!
And if they are not necessarily doing floor work, they are definitely Hip-Hop dancing 🙂 Also their SHOES.
