So, I’ve been on a Prince kick lately.

It’s funny because I used to be scared of him.

When I saw that picture of him naked on a horse covering up his chest with one hand, it just creeped me out!

Then AUTOMATIC kinda creeped me out.

His whole lace over one eye, black eyeliner and provocative lyrics just spelt out D-E-V-I-L. to me.

It’s funny because my best friend in Jr. High was IN LOVE with him. She used to wear a lace ribbon over her eye and they share the same birthday.

I wasn’t into Purple Rain at all and 1999 seemed devilish to me too.

I mean, he’s saying it’s the end of the world, so let’s just do anything wicked we want to.

And I disagree with that.

Then there was Erotic City and that was just the tip of the iceberg, little did I know.

I mean the beat was bangin’ so I just ignored the lyrics and got into the music.

But after High School, I saw my Razzaq at the club and we would dance to ADORE every week and then he would buy me a single red rose and I thought I would be able to listen to it this time without crying but it’s soooo long.

I checked the time and I was only half-way through.

I thought I still might make it, but nah.

I heard this song for the first time on GC’s Chocolate City on KCRW and was pissed off because I couldn’t find in anywhere online. You know how Prince was about bootlegging. You couldn’t find his music nowhere!

But after he died…

After Adore, he didn’t seem so evil. And I started to really enjoy his music.

I even started revisiting some of his work with other artists.

I heard he played drums on this

Also, I have Tidal music and it is the only internet station that Prince authorized to play his music. His family is trying to take Jay Z to court about it.

But Prince curated a playlist, which I think is really groovy.

It is also where I heard his debut record for the first time. Artists’ first albums are always the best but I had never heard Prince’s. I mean one song which everybody knows (the nastiest one) I had heard, but the whole album is banging. When it first hits it’s like Whoa!

And I can’t believe he had on an ankh in 1978.

I mean, I know EWF was into Ancient Kemet but the way people carry on now, you would think that that hotep and whatnot, was current.

So, I got kicked out the original PRINCESS PAVILLION and I’ve just been kinda kickin’ it wherever. (As you can see in the picture LOL)

But I have my laptop and Allah ALWAYS leads me to spots that have outlets and I have a hotspot on my iphone, so I have Internet access (Facebook, my blog, YT) and most importantly MUSIC, wherever I am.

It’s just NIGHTTIME that’s tricky.

After spending that night in Lancaster, I think I can take anything, but there’s nothing worse than being cold. Being cold is worse than being hot, IMO. It’s also worse, much worse than being lonely.

Sometimes, I get so lonely, I cry. It’s usually at the end of the month. Like last night. I haven’t figured out why that is yet. I can only assume it’s because a new month is brewing, thus a new beginning.

But, I’ve been wondering/contemplating what I’m going to do.

The Masons have a thing they call “Traveling Man” and for them it’s just symbolic.

But Mason means “Muslim Son”

And for us (some of us) its literal.

I met Our Saviour, Allah – MASTER FARD MUHAMMAD, TO WHOM PRAISES ARE DUE FOREVER – traveling.

I really believe Allah Wants Me To Be A Transient.

Whenever I find a place, it feels good to have a place, but it never lasts.

My peace is disturbed one way or another

And I find myself back on the streets.

And it feels worse than if I had never found a place.

So, I think, I think I’m going to remain homeless BY CHOICE.

At least until my Razzaq decides to collect me.

I hate having to start all over

A SOUND ECONOMIC PLAN I

The economic plight of the black people of this land has so long been neglected by so-called leaders that even our own people have forgotten it’s basic importance.

Our economic position remains at the bottom of the ladder because of this ineffective leadership and because so many of our people ignore the basic rules of a healthy economic life. We fail to develop self-leadership in economics.

We are in the midst of the so-called civil rights struggle and ferment among the black and oppressed reaches new heights. I shall list, critically, but constructively, the guide and outline which must be followed if this black nation of 22 million is ever to achieve true independence and equality.

We shall begin with these four points.

No. 1. Our knowledge of self, others, and the time should force us to become more prudent in our spending. Unnecessary spending by trying to keep pace with the wealthy of this country has done more to put us on the path of the “prodigal son” than anything else. Let us be taught how to spend and save by those of us who desire to see us out of poverty and want.

No. 2. Do not be too proud to meet together as leaders and teachers to discuss the solution of “How to stop this reckless down-hill fall of our people.”

No. 3. Not one so-called Negro leader seems to want a meeting with me to discuss the plight of our poor people in North America.

No. 4. I have set before you a program, according to the Divine Supreme Being and his Prophets. You have neither produced a better program nor anything to equal it. Your present plans are involved in one of the most disgraceful programs – especially you who boast that you are free and want freedom, Justice and equality with your slave-masters by sitting, standing and begging to be accepted as the brothers of those who, for 400 years, have brought you into your present condition, and have made you a people unwanted by the civilized nations of the earth.

No one wants foolish people who love everyone but themselves and their own kind; who would rather beg than go for self, or even ask the slave-masters to help them go for self. Such people, numbering into the millions, are on the road to destruction if their down-hill speed is not checked by Allah (God) and His Messenger.

HOW TO MAKE AN ECONOMIC PROGRAM SUCCESSFUL: It is very hard for an economist to plan a wise program and see his plans carried out, because the so-called American Negroes’ economics are controlled by the white man. The white man owns the country and the industry. He is manufacturer and producer of everything. Now, it is difficult to plan an economic program for a dependent people who, for all their lives, have tried to live like the white man.

The first step the so-called Negro wage-earners should take is to spend only when necessary and according to their income. They should save as much of their salaries as possible – weekly, biweekly or monthly. We, as wage earners, should always plan to save something from whatever we are paid. Do not become extravagant spenders like the rich, who own the country and everything in it. It is sheer ignorance for us to try to compete in luxury with the owners.

If we can save just five cents a day from our wages, 25 cents a week, $1 a month – that would mean $13 a year we could save in a national savings bank. We number around 22 million and approximately five million are wage-earners. If five million wage-earners saved $13 a year, this would mean $65 million saved out of our wages. At the rate of 25 cents per week, it would be painless. But the so-called Negroes do not have that in a national bank.

Let us see how much money we spend unnecessarily: Suppose we spent the same amount (25 cents a week) in tobacco (cigarettes, cigars, chewing or snuff dipping). But, of course, you will spend far more than that. Some people spend 25 cents per day for cigarettes alone. Let us say we spent the same amount (25 cents a week) on beer. Again the actual amount would be more. This means $65 million a year spent for beer and the same spent for whiskey, wine, cigarettes and cigars. We also spend unnecessarily on sports. You average the same on sports ($65 million). Another $65 million is spent in gambling – averaging five cents a day, 25 cents a week. This is just the minimum.

If five million wage earners saved just $47 per year, they could save $235 million dollars a year. And this figure would be far greater if we included extravagant buying of clothes, furniture and cars. Eating the hog, the Divinely forbidden flesh which keeps us filled with arthritis, rheumatism, high blood pressure and fever makes unnecessary doctor and drug bills. All of this wasteful spending should be checked and you will see within a one-year period that you have not saved one billion dollars, but several billions.

The economical way to use the money you save is first to buy farm land and produce your own food. You can raise enough cattle, sheep, cows and chickens by the thousands if you try following our program. We could cut down on our clothing bills – some of us by about 30 per cent – and yet be well-dressed. Again in this way we could build a national savings bank from deposits for ourselves, and invest our money in the purchase of necessary things for our nation. Then, you could cut down your present high cost of living.

Purchase real estate, buy farm and timberland. Convert the timber into lumber and build homes for yourselves as the white man is doing. Of course, he will have the authority over whether or not to sell the land to you. Get clay land. With marsh clay land and hill clay, you can make your own bricks. Bricks are inexpensive to make once you get your kiln built and tracks laid. The greatest expense would be coal or gas to fire your bricks. Build brick homes for your own people and sell them to your people at a very reasonable price.

Try and save your people from unnecessary high-price buying. Take your cotton to the mills and have it converted into lint. And take the lint to the textile mills and have it converted into cloth. You are very smart. We have many technicians among us who are about as smart as they come. Why shouldn’t we get together and produce something for ourselves?

Ask the government to help us go for ourselves. And if the government will not help us, although we and our fathers have been loyal and helped them to become and remain independent, then appeal to your own people to allow you to move in among them. I am sure that if you are a Muslim you can find a place anywhere on the earth.

We are the righteous and it should not be hard for us to do something for self if we unite. We do not need to unite and then go fight some other nations to get their country. No! That will not be necessary. Come follow me and I will show you how to do this without having to shed a drop of blood. Shedding blood for something that you are Divinely justified in having is not necessary.

It is a disgrace for us to have all this present trouble – standing around begging, quarreling and fighting with slave-masters over something that we can do for ourselves if only given a chance. This chance can be had if you go about it in the right way.

HOW TO EAT TO LIVE

Fasting is Prescribed

 

Eat good food which has been prescribed in this book. Do not eat Over one meal a day. Dry beans (navy beans) and whole bread are good for us. We do not have to go around looking for all kinds of foods. Just one common kind will do. Give the body some time to rest. FASTING is a great act upon true Believers of the true religion of God (Islam). This also helps prolong our lives. It is prescribed for us in the Law of the religion of Islam (Holy Qur’an). All Muslims who respect fasting should take the fast of Ramadan. We are not taking the month of Ramadan as prescribed in the Holy Qur’an. We take the Christians month (December, the twelfth month), instead of the ninth month.

This month I prescribe for you to fast (the twelfth month of the Christian year) for the purpose of getting you away from the false teaching of the Jesus’ birth on the 25th of December. God Has Taught Me that he was born between the first and the second week of September and not December. This day, (the 25th of December) He taught Me is the birth date of that demon Nimrod, who was born in the Seventeenth century of Moses’ era before the birth of Jesus. He was so wicked that the Scholars and Scientists of Scripture of the Prophets do not like to teach you of this history of Nimrod. And, if it was the birth date of that righteous Prophet Jesus, you most certainly in your celebration of the 25th of December have not been showing a clean and holy celebration of a righteous person with your drunkenness and your gambling. Your everything but right is committed on the 25th day of December in celebrating the birth of a righteous man. But, you are not doing so for righteousness, you are celebrating the birth date of an evil person and the white Christians will send you all the whiskey and beer and wine and swine that you want to eat and drink on that day.

RAMADAN is the ninth month of the Arab year (which is also twelve months and not nine months). The Holy Qur’an teaches that twelve months have always been a year with God. We are not able to satisfy the astronomists if we do not have a twelve month year, for it takes the earth 12 months to make its complete circuit around the sun and this is why we call it one year (after its completion of this circuit made by the earth at an average distance of 93 million miles).

Ramadan, the Holy Qur’an teaches us, is the month that the Holy Qur’an was revealed to Muhammad. And they worship the month by abstaining from eating and drinking during the day time from sun up to sun down or before the sun rises until after she sets in the Western skies. Then, after dark, we can eat and drink until the sun rises again the next day. The significances of this Arabic fasting in Ramadan is that the spiritual darkness of Yakub’s made man (the white race); eating and drinking, sport and play was the order of the white world until the day break of Truth coming in the first of the seven thousand years after the six thousand years of spiritual darkness and evil of the white man’s world.

WE ARE living now in the bright spiritual world of Allah, the Great Mahdi in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom Praise is due forever, therefore we are not the children of darkness, but the children of light and truth.

Actually, Divinely, there is no fast set for the children of the light of God and their fasting ceases. But, until we have accomplished our work of perfection of self and separation of us from the spiritual darkness of Yakub’s made man and teachings, we fast to get out of it and take a month that we used to worship as being the month in which the birth of Jesus came about. There is no such thing that we should worship any white people’s holidays. All that they worship are their days and not the slaves (the Black peoples) days.

There is not one that we should worship. The past Thanksgiving Day that you were celebrating, what do you have to thank God and man for that last Thursday of November? Surely you should thank God for allowing you to live to see that day, but this was the man’s day (Yakub’s made man). The Black Man should not take any part in any white people’s holidays not even to Sunday. These are not our days. Please remember this.

I WILL take you further into this knowledge if you write me, as space here in our book is limited. The Muslims, as I foresaid, do not eat nor drink from before sunrise until after she (the sun) has set. If you take it (the fast of Ramadan) with them, you are doing the right thing, until this evil world has vanished. BECAUSE OF the fascination of food to the eye, the smell of food, and the imaginary taste of food, we follow our eyes and our tastes to our graves, by eating the wrong food too often.

CHAPTER 82

TO HELP FIGHT AGAINST POVERTY AND WANT!

I appeal to all Muslims, and to all the members of the original Black Nation in America, to sacrifice at least five cents from each day’s pay to create an “Economic Savings Program” to help fight unemployment, abominable housing, hunger, and nakedness of the 22 million black people here in America who continue to face these problems.

This will not interfere with, the government’s program for better housing conditions at all; it will only aid those who have never known anything in the way of help and those who do not even know that there is a government housing act to help dependent people. There are thousands of our people living in worse conditions than dogs and pigs. At least dogs are not bothered with too many rats and roaches in their houses because they kill them to keep out the uncleanliness and filth which dominate and create bad housing conditions.

We hope to set up a committee to teach and force our people to be clean: The Committee of Cleanliness. We already have such a committee in effect among the Muslims. It compels our people to clean their bodies as well as their houses. If you have only one suit of clothing, you should wash it and press it each night so that you can wear it the next day. If you are not able to have your hair trimmed at the barbershop, you should take turns and trim each other’s hair. You must shave yourselves and look like men.

And our women should clean up. You do not have to have a dozen dresses. Just keep the one you have clean and pressed. Until we enforce cleanliness among the people of our Nation and get them into the spirit of self-respect and the spirit of making themselves the equal of other civilized nations of the earth we will never be recognized as being fit members of any decent society of those nations.

Send your quarters every week to Muhammad’s Temple No. 2 in Chicago, Illinois. These quarters will be banked until we have a million dollars to begin building a banking system.

We have wasted too much money trying to be the equal of the millionaires of America. We like sport and play, but we suffer the pains of hunger because of the millions of dollars lost paying notes for luxuries we could do without – such as fine automobiles, fine clothes, whiskey, beer, wine, cigarettes, tobacco and drugs.

Let the entire nation sacrifice for three years. Confine ourselves to buy not more than three suits of clothes a year, never exceeding $65 in cost. Buy the minimum amount of shoes, never paying over $16 a pair, as long as current prices for the above-mentioned merchandise remain the same. (Of course, inflation can run prices up until money has no value.) We should cut down on waste in high-priced food. Eat pure and wholesome food without being extravagant. Let us cut our extravagances.

As soon as we have enough money in our banks to purchase lands sufficient to feed the 22 million black people, we will build storage warehouses to store our supplies of the necessities of life for our people.

I believe that if we make these sacrifices throughout the nation for three years, as all our nations are doing or have done, we will soon rid our people of poverty and want. Russia did it on a five-year plan. Pakistan and other nations did it and are today on top. We must sacrifice for three years. I will not ask you to try a five-year plan: I am afraid that you, with your short patience, will not agree. But try three years on an “Economic Savings Program” to fight against poverty among our people here in America. I know you will become a happier and more recognized people and have the spirit of independence which is the glory of any nation.

Please respond and help yourself. Each and every one of you will be sent a receipt which will be recorded in our books for the Muslims’ Three-Year Economic Program for the Black Nation in America. You will get a receipt for every penny you send to this office, which you will keep as your record.

You can send 25 cents each week or $1 per month. Send postal or personal money orders. No personal checks will be accepted unless your financial savings are verified by the bank.

We, the Muslims, will support this program and hope that every member of the working class of our people throughout the country will join us. We will show the world that we can build an independent nation out of those who have been a dependent people for 400 years.

We are asking you to help us enlarge our educational system so that our people can be educated. This we refer to as re-education into the knowledge of self, our history and the knowledge of the good things of life, of which we have been deprived. You can also aid us by subscribing to the Muhammad Speaks Newspaper.

May Allah bless our poor dependent people in America with better homes more money and better friendships among the nations of the earth.

MISUNDERSTANDING AND MISINTERPRETATION

In the Name of Almighty Allah, the Most Merciful Saviour, Our Deliverer, Master of the Day of Judgment. To Allah alone do I submit and seek refuge.

My dear, original Black people of North America and the world, there is much talk – both good and bad – going these days about the ending of the world that we now live in (the world of the white man). The people of the white race are losing their divine power to rule the world of the original man. It is very easy for us to see and understand that throughout the world there is unrest among the original black people, who are working at a boiling pitch trying to get to themselves and for themselves as never before, not even since the white race has been placed on the planet, even more so than in the time of Muhammad of 1,400 yeas ago. (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.)

From the seventh century to the eleventh century, we had a much smaller world than we have today. Islam did not conquer the whole world – only Africa, the Near East and part of Europe as far as Vienna. She did not conquer Italy, China, Japan and the Islands. But today, Islam for the first time has nearly completed her march throughout the world.

She has not converted Europe or Christian Americans and never will. But, as far as the Original Black People in America, the Pacific Islands, the Southern realm of America, Argentina and South America, you will find a small population of Islam. America is the last place that Islam was to reach.

Not by the missionaries of Asia and Africa, but America was left for the divine Supreme Being who is referred to by the Name of Allah.

In this country, Allah desired to make Himself known as He did (for example) in Egypt, only this time it is universal, coming first to the lost and found members of the Black Nation of America. That prophecy of the Bible from Moses to Jesus must be fulfilled. There is much taught against the divine work that is going on here in America by Orthodox Muslims and Black Christians of America.

Many of the Orthodox Muslims do not want to believe that Allah has appeared in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad or that He has made manifest the truth that has been hidden from their religious scientists – the truth of God and of the devil as revealed to me. Though they do have the Holy Qur-an, many of them do not understand the meaning of it, and some of them believe everything that is prophesied in the Bible and Holy Qur-an about a last Messenger or Prophet being or referring to Muhammad of 1,400 years ago.

They even take all of the people prophesied from Moses to Jesus, who received a prophet coming after Moses and like Moses to the people of Muhammad of 1,400 years ago. This is very wrong. It must be understood that the prophesies are referring to God and a Messenger in the resurrection of the dead in the last years of this world ruled by the Caucasian people.

Moses and Jesus were both examples of what was to come at the end of this world, not the end of Moses’ and Jesus’ world. Moses’ and Jesus’ lives were examples of what would take place among the so-called Negro in America – that lost and found people mentioned so much by Jesus in Revelations where it is shown that the Messenger becomes a lamb.

In Revelations, the symbolic lamb is in the midst of four symbolic beasts. All of the scholars and scientists of the white race know this is not referring to Muhammad of 1,400 years ago.

The anger of the beast refers to a dragon against the Messenger who is referred to as a lamb or as a woman pregnant with child. This is one of the clearest prophecies of the opposition against him in the last days and the type of people to whom the revelator refused to give credit for being not human beings but beasts who desire to destroy the woman and her child.

This only means the Messenger and his followers of Islam.

All Messengers were attacked by disbelievers and governments of their time, according to the Qur-an. As an example of what the last Messenger and his followers would face, Pharaoh openly confessed that he desired to slay Moses and did not believe that God (Allah) would be able to protect Moses from his evil plans.

But the Holy Qur-an says that Allah made him an example, for in the last days both Moses and the symbolic lamb are declared to be victorious.

Revelations states that the lamb and his followers, after escaping the evil plans of the beast, sang the song of Moses, which was of the victory over Pharaoh.

Let us remember that the scholars and scientists have not understood the true interpretations of the Bible and Holy Qur-an concerning the last Messenger. They should meet and confer on this most important of all scriptures and come to the correct interpretation.

Both of you, Christians and Orthodox Muslims, are absolutely wrong to believe all of this prophecy refers to Jesus or Moses and a prophet like himself and to believe that the symbolic lamb in Revelation refers to Jesus or, as the Orthodox Muslims believe, that it refers to Muhammad of 1,400 years ago. How gravely you must interpret your Bible and Holy Qur-an. This important misunderstanding is causing a lot of divisions.

Some of the well-read scholars among the Orthodox Muslims are grieved to hear from America that I call myself a Messenger of Allah, though not one of them has been able to do the work that I have done in resurrecting my people in America. They could not do it. It was not for them to do what I am doing (the resurrecting of the dead). Their own Holy Qur-an teaches them that Allah teaches a Messenger from every people that he intends to warn to destroy. It tells them in plain worlds that an Arab and an Arabic Holy Qur-an could not be an instrument sent to the people who must be resurrected because they would have the excuse that they could not read Arabic and therefore exercise their disbelief by saying that this was an Arab and an Arabic Qur-an.

The Qur-an teaches that they must have the Qur-an in their own language and they must not have a foreigner but someone from among themselves who could speak their language.

He could not be one who could speak Arabic until Allah taught him Arabic. Therefore the Messenger is not an Arab or an Arabic speaker in the resurrection of the dead, not the people who must be resurrected, according to the Qur-an. But later Allah taught him Arabic, and then he said in His Qur-an that now I give to thee a Holy Qur-an in the language of the people (whom he is among who did not speak Arabic), and now I give thee an Arabic Holy Qur-an that I may warn the Mother city.

This means that he received two books. One in a foreign language to Arabs and another in the original language. Both called Holy Qur-an. There must be something that is wrong about the Mother city which all the scholars agree is Mecca. Those are the last days, not in the days of Moses – only his work of correcting the ills of the Arabs in Mecca where he was born.

This was an example of what was to come or what will come. He, not Jesus, referred to the old truth which was given to either one, though the Holy Qur-an is without a doubt a true book, but it only takes us up to the resurrection of the dead not beyond. It does not give you a real knowledge of Allah and the Devil because it refers to the coming of Allah as the Bible refers to the coming of Allah.

The Holy Qur-an refers to the days of Allah, meaning in the years of the resurrection, and it often repeats that the people will meet with Allah in person, not in visions. He will return to them or give them a knowledge of that which they have done, good or evil.

He will not allow the good ones to enter into ever lasting goodness without knowing of their good. It says that on that day Allah will give every man a book so that he can read his own account in the resurrection of the dead, especially the so-called American Negro.

They will receive these accounts literally because they are a people who must be separated, and these books will verify their actual worth. Of course, they have a knowledge of the chastisement of the wicked and disbelievers’ rejections of the truth, and the righteous will have a knowledge of their right by being separated by Allah from evil doers and hypocrites.

The jealousy of the last Messenger is written of and mentioned throughout the Qur-an and the Bible. All prophets had people among them who were hypocrites who were jealous of them and wanted their place.

But they were not fit or chosen by Allah for that high place, as they probably could not go through the punishment or persecution of the wicked. There are religious scientists in Islam who know these things to be true that I am saying, and there are those who do not understand their Holy Qur-an and the prophecy of Muhammad being last among the dead, for the Bible teaches that God will use him to make Himself known in the last days. The people will probably fall for everything evil.

I will not acknowledge the hypocrites’ charges against me by going and contending with them before my enemies. I am not sent to accuse my people. I am sent to clear them of the charges of the accusers – the devils.

This is the divine problem. God, Himself, will liberate the Negro. Africa is trying to liberate herself from the same enemy.

So, I didn’t go to the Masjidun yesterday.

I went to see about making an appointment to get my tooth fixed.

And ended up riding Lulu to Lake Pontchartrain.

And OMG! Why was that the BEST decision I could have made in my life?

I DIDN’T REALIZE IT UNTIL JUST NOW

BUT YESTERDAY WAS ZAWJI’S DAY, THE 22ND

AND

HOLY TUESDAY

AND I HAD A GREAT TIME!!!

There was hardly anybody there and once those few people left

The birds and butterflies came out and just made

EVERYTHING

BEAUTIFUL!!!

Pelicans are dope.

They have long, skinny necks and long skinny beaks

Which really distinguish them from the seagulls and other birds.

I even saw a HAWK!

Which really wouldn’t be a big deal (well kinda) in L.A.

I used to see them EVERY DAY IN L.A.

But I think this was the first one I’ve seen in NOTLA, I mean NOLA 😉

And it flew right over my head, which was a first for me.

Every time I saw them in L.A. they were flying in the other direction.

Hakim said he saw one fly right over his head in L.A. tho.

Yesterday, the fish would jump up out of the water occasionally which was pretty dope.

I still wanna go fishing.

But in a boat.

I saw Dushawn fishing by the bank and I was like,

“Seriously, why not just give up?”

But The Holy Qur’an warns us that

“They will not stop in their attempt to return you to their dirty religion.”

But it also says in 2:256 that when you grab ahold to The Divine Supreme Wisdom Teachings of Our Beloved Messenger (Peace Be Upon Him), you grab ahold to
“THE FIRMEST HANDLE THAT WILL NOT BREAK OFF!” 

That made me cement my decision that I want to go fishing in a boat.
Fishing by the bank is janky.

It doesn’t have to be a yacht or even a sailboat.

I would prefer a rowboat.

So, I can watch you use your strength.

So, I got some good rest out there listening to sound of the waves.

There is nothing like the sound of water to relax you.

In Arabic, it’s HADIRA هديرة.

Being homeless, it’s hard to get a good night’s rest.

I stayed out there just about all day.

And as I was leaving,

I saw a coupla Sisters

Who were meeting up with a coupla Brothers

So, I approached the Brothers to give them my website

“What are you supposed to be, LITTLE ‘PINK’ RIDING HOOD?”

I thought that was cute, with my cloak and pink garment and PINK bike “LULU”.

I think he wanted to talk to me but I’m taken.

And the two girls were little me’s.

So, I left him in good hands.

He said it looks like I sell cookies.

I told him actually I do sell cookies.

Now, I’m wondering if he had seen me selling cookies….

I wanna put that emoji with the hand on the chin looking like he’s thinking

But I’m not on my phone.

So, riding back was so STRENUOUS!

I had to take several breaks because I took the scenic route

Through City Park

And

I found out where they play Tennis.

Zawji plays Tennis and me and Hakim used to play at Ted Watkins in WATTS

But it cost $12 just to get a court!!!

They really try to exclude Niggers.

It was free at Ted Watkins and there are several other parks in L.A.

But I don’t know of any in NOLA.

And this was CITY PARK!!!

I saw one car with Black People in it and

I think the little girl, who yelled out to me through the car window,

Was happy to see me too.

“Hey Lil Sister! It’s OUR TIME!”

Came up on ANOTHER neighborhood

I had never seen or heard of before.

The devils know how to hide the good stuff from us Niggers.

You always hear about Metarie or Kenner or Algiers or Chalmette,

But I have NEVER heard of LAKEVIEW!

Those devils were looking at me like,

“Who’s that NEW NIGGER?” 

But I LOVE going places where devils don’t want us.

I’m like,

So, me an Lulu rode all through their neighborhood, checking out their bomb houses,

I went to some little convenience store and saw a Brother,

But he looked like he was married to a devil.

The other two Black people I saw were employees.

And they were not happy to see me

Because they know

I’m about to throw a wrench in their machinery.

So, the Canal Streetcar stops RIGHT before you get to this affluent neighborhood

And I saw all the “employees” sitting at the station.

There’s a bus though.

But if it’s anything like the other buses in New Orleans,

You’ll be sitting at the bus stop for an hour before one shows up.

Which is why I’m so grateful I have Lulu.

The only thing is, I hate people knowing where I am,

So, I park her around the corner,

So, I can maintain my anonymity.

So, when I did finally make it back to

THE PRINCESS PAVILLION,

The owners had locked the gate.

I guess they were mad because I had broken a window trying to get in.

But Allah is Ar Razzaq – The Best Provider –

And it wasn’t long before I found another spot,

Which is even better than

THE PRINCESS PAVILLION

Because it’s closer to everything.

It’s under a house again,

But I can still go to the Masjidun,

FOR NOW :/

AND CLEAN UP

Even though the Imam is a HYPOCRITE!!!

BUT I’VE BEEN DEALING WITH THEM FOR TEN YEARS

SO, I KNOW THEIR M.O.

I met a Sister today named Joi.

I love it when I tell Sisters my name is LOVE and they tell me their name is another virtue like Hope, Grace, Faith, Mercy or Joi/Joy.

We can’t help but hit it off.

Joi is a music producer and

Right now there’s not too much going on in my life.

Just going to the masjid everyday.

And listening to music.

Today I listened to Raheem DeVaughn.

I don’t know what it is about him.

I caught his show last year, around this time, and I thought I was just going to sit in the back of the House of Blues and just listen, but as soon as he opened his mouth, I came creeping out. LOL

First, yesterday I listened to Switch and I had only really heard three songs by them. “There’ll Never Be,” “I Call Your Name” and some other song I don’t like.

So, I really wasn’t expecting to like so many songs by them. I thought just those first two. But I enjoyed the entire “Greatest Hits” with the exception of two songs. I was really impressed.

Their music is like Jazz Fusion but with lyrics. And you know I love Jazz. Straight-ahead is my favorite, then Brass then fusion. But it really depends on my mood and I was in the mood for fusion, so, I was really diggin it.

Here is the link. You have to pay to listen to Tidal, but I just have the ten dollar membership. I had the twenty dollar one but I don’t really see a difference and the volume of music is phenomenal.

So, anyway, Raheem’s first song, “Guess Who Loves You More” is basically just a remake of “There’ll Never Be” but when I listened to the Greatest Hits, he had actually taken one of their songs and rewrote it using the same music.

I was like, “I Knew It!” LOL

I tried to listen to “Green” by Coultrain but they didn’t have it.

And, I seem to recall looking for another song that they didn’t have, but they have Prince’s entire catalogue, as I wrote yesterday, and it’s worth it just because of that.

I also listened to Jimi Hendrix, because the Brother, Frank McComb, was obviously influenced by his style of singing, and I dig Jimi, so I listened to some of his stuff and read his Wikipedia page. I intend to listen to some “Band of Gypsies” stuff, In Sha Allah.

I had heard of them, but didn’t know that was Jimi’s BLACK group. :/

All you ever hear about is the Jimi Hendrix Experience, wherein he was backed by two devils.

I am listening to Band of Gypsys and I am loving it. I just wish Jimi sang more!

They are so much mellow and fine than the Experience. More Soul and Funk. Less Rock.

But check it out! I was listening to his first album “Are You Experienced” and when the title track came on, I was like OMG! No they didn’t!

I don’t really like that number by The Experience. I much more prefer this

And I LOVE this song by Bootsy. You can really hear Jimi’s influence on his singing too.

So, then I was going to listen to Darrien Brockington, but I only recalled him singing problematic love songs, but later I remembered another song he sang that was about love. Can’t remember it now, but maybe later.

I just went to YT, and I must have gotten him mixed up with somebody else (can’t think of who right now) but I was going through his music and his songs are not problematic. They’re pretty good.

So, then I was going to listen to Maxwell, but it didn’t seem like he used enough instruments in his music and left me wanting more.

Then I tried listening to D’Angelo, but it just wasn’t hitting.

So, then I just gave in and started listening to Raheem and that man, man!

He just makes me feel some kinda way.

I can listen to him all day, er’ day.

And he’s still putting out music.

I didn’t listen to Musiq Soulchild yet.

And of course, I still have my Mother’s Day Present on heavy rotation.

But Brother Raheem has so many songs that relate to me and Zawji

I am sure he was really influenced by Prince, so search his catalogue with caution.
He can get pretty nasty too.
