FRANKINCENSE….

frankincense-burner

As-Salaamu ‘Alaikum Beloved and Beautiful Black Queens!!!

One of the most ancient and most beautiful fragrances in the world is FRANKINCENSE.

I didn’t find out about Frankincense until I started going to Leimert Park.

I entered one of the businesses and was delighted by the enchanting fragrance wafting through the air. The owner told me it was FRANKINCENSE, showed me how to use it, and told me that I could purchase it at a store around the corner. Once there, the merchant treated me coldly and acted as if she didn’t want to share her secret with me. I bought it anyway. Ha!

Frankincense is, by far, the BEST incense there is. Sometimes, I still use sticks, other times I use oils, depending on my mood. But when I really want to indulge, I always use FRANKINCENSE. And Sisters, being the Black Queens we are, we most definitely deserve the absolute BEST, and should provide nothing less than the BEST for our families.

When your husband comes home, he should either smell food or some type of incense. And when you welcome him home, you make sure you tantalize his nostrils as well.

If you’re in South Central, you can get it from Taj Mahal on Crenshaw and 57th, two doors down from the Post Office. You can get a huge bag for $7.oo. They also sell a smaller bag, but I don’t know how much that one costs. Sika also sells it in Leimert. For my National and International Sisters (and any devils who may be reading this), you can find it and the charcoal on which to burn them online.

To use it, just find something decorative that will not burn; like the pot in the picture. You can also use a glass or ceramic bowl or small plate; just try and make it beautiful, like everything in your house should be. Pack some sand (or dirt :/ ) in it. Light a charcoal (I use tweezers to hold it to keep from burning my fingers) and wait for it to turn orange. Place it on the sand. Carefully (again tweezers) put a FRANKINCENSE “tear” on the burning charcoal.

And Enjoy The Very BEST!

You Deserve It!

**NOTE – The charcoal will be much bigger than the frankincense tear. Consequently, I always break them into smaller pieces. They are very inexpensive (a dime apiece). But frugality pays. 🙂 Waste not, want not.

Roach Eliminator

As-Salaamu ‘Alaikum Beloved and Beautiful Sisters,

I’ve been posting tips on how to clean house, but because I just started seeing roaches, coming from my next door neighbor’s house, I wanted to share an excellent tip on how to get rid of roaches for good.

BORIC ACID

You can get it from any hardware store.

Just apply liberally on your floors, in the corners of your cabinets, and any cracks and crevices where roaches reside.

According to Wikipedia.com, “The product is generally considered to be safe to use in household kitchens to control cockroaches and ants. It acts as a stomach poison affecting the insects’ metabolism, and the dry powder is abrasive to the insects’ exoskeletons.”

I learned about Boric Acid from an apartment owner who uses it when tenants, who had roaches, move out of his apartments. It works very well, even with heavy infestations. Just leave it on the floor and in the corners of your cabinets, under your sink, behind your drawers, &c. for a few days.  Think like a roach when you are deciding where to put it down. You might even need to put it in the corners of your refrigerator. Then when you notice you don’t see them anymore, just sweep it up, and no more roaches.

How To Eat To Live, Book Two

Chapter 15

FASTING IS PRESCRIBED

Eat good food which has been prescribed in this book. Do not eat over one meal a day.

Dry beans (navy beans) and whole bread are good for us. We do not have to go around looking for all kinds of foods. Just one common kind will do. Give the body some time to rest.

FASTING is a great act upon true Believers of the true religion of God (Islam). This also helps prolong our lives.

It is prescribed for us in the Law of the religion of Islam (Holy Qur-an). All Muslims who respect fasting should take the fast of Ramadan. We are not taking the month of Ramadan as prescribed in the Holy Qur-an. We take the Christians’ month (December, the twelfth month), instead of the ninth month.

This month I prescribe for you to fast (the twelfth month of the Christian year) for the purpose of getting you away from the false teaching of the Jesus’ Birth on the 25th of December. God Has Taught Me that he was born between the first and the second week of September and not December.

This day, (the 25th of December) He Taught Me was the birth date of that demon Nimrod, who was born in the Seventeenth century of Moses’ era before the birth of Jesus.

He was so wicked that the Scholars and Scientists of Scripture of the Prophets do not like to teach you of this history of Nimrod. And, if it was the birthdate of that righteous Prophet Jesus, you most certainly in your celebration of the 25th of December have not been showing a clean and holy celebration of a righteous person with your drunkenness and your gambling. Your everything but right is committed on the 25th day of December in celebrating the birth of a righteous man. But, you are not doing so for righteousness, you are celebrating the birth date of an evil person and the white Christians will send you all the whiskey and beer and wine and swine that you want to eat and drink on that day.

RAMADAN is the ninth month of the Arab year (which is also twelve months and not nine months). The Holy Qur-an teaches that twelve months have always been a year with God. We are not able to satisfy the astronomists if we do not have a twelve month year, for it takes the earth 12 months to make its complete circuit around the sun and this is why we call it one year (after its completion of this circuit made by the earth at an average distance of 93 million miles).

Ramadan, the Holy Qur-an teaches us, is the month that the Holy Qur-an was revealed to Muhammad. And they worship the month by abstaining from eating and drinking during the day time from sun up to sun down or before the sun rises until after she sets in the Western skies.

Then, after dark, we can eat and drink until the sun rises again the next day. The significances of this Arabic fasting in Ramadan is that the spiritual darkness of Yakub’s made man (the white race); eating and drinking, sport and play was the order of the white world, until the day break of Truth coming in the first of the seven thousand years after the six thousand years of spiritual darkness and evil of the white man’s world.

WE ARE living now in the bright spiritual world of Allah, the Great Mahdi in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom Praise is due forever, therefore we are not the children of darkness, but the children of light and truth.

Actually, Divinely, there is no fast set for the children of the light of God and their fasting ceases. But, until we have accomplished our work of perfection of self and separation of us from the spiritual darkness of Yakub’s made man and teachings, we fast to get out of it and take a month that we used to worship as being the month in which the birth of Jesus came about.

There is no such thing that we should worship any white people’s holidays. All that they worship are their days and not the slaves (the Black peoples) days.

There is not one that we should worship. The past Thanksgiving Day that you were celebrating – what [do] you have to thank God and man for that last Thursday of November? Surely you should thank God for allowing you to live to see that day, but this was the man’s day (Yakub’s made man).

The Black Man should not take any part in any white people’s holidays not even to Sunday. These are not our days. Please remember this.

I WILL take you further into this knowledge if you write me, as space here in our book is limited.

The Muslims, as I foresaid, do not eat nor drink from before sunrise until after she (the sun) has set. If you take it (the fast of Ramadan) with them, you are doing the right thing, until this evil world has vanished.

BECAUSE OF the fascination of food to the eye, the smell of food, and the imaginary taste of food, we follow our eyes and our tastes to our graves, by eating the wrong food too often.

Natural Glass Cleaner

lavish-wooden-house-interior-huge-glass-windows-interior-designs

As-Salaamu ‘Alaikum Beautiful and Beloved Black Sisters,

Sisters, I just wanted to share a recipe for homemade glass cleaner which can actually double as an all-purpose cleaner as well. I use it to clean windows, mirrors, and glass tables. And because it contains alcohol, it has some disinfecting properties, so I also use it to clean my sink, toilet and the tub.

It consists of just three simple ingredients, which you probably already have in your home.

Just combine 1/3 alcohol, 1/3 vinegar and 1/3 distilled water in a spray bottle and that’s it!

THE COMING OF GOD: IS HE A MAN OR A SPIRIT?

Chapter 4

THE COMING OF GOD:

IS HE A MAN OR A SPIRIT?

According to the dictionary of the Bible: Teman, a son of Esau by Adah, (Gen. 36:11, 15, 42) and in I Chron. 1:36, now if Habakkuk saw God come or coming from the sons of Esau (Eliphaz), then God must be a man and not a spook. If Habakkuk’s (3:3) prophecy refers to some country, town, or city, if there be any truth at all in this prophecy, then we can say that this prophet saw God as a material being belonging to the human family of the earth – and not to a spirit (ghost). In the same chapter and verse, Habakkuk saw the Holy One from Mount Paran.  This is also earthly, somewhere in Arabia. Here the Bible makes a difference between God and another person who is called the Holy One. Which one should we take for our God?  For one is called God, while another One is called Holy One. The Holy One:  His glory covered the heavens and the earth was full of His praise.

It has been a long time since the earth was full of praise for a Holy One. Even to this hour, the people do not care for Holy People and will persecute and kill the Holy One, if God does not intervene. In the fourth verse of the above chapter, it says, “He had horns coming out of his hands; and there was the hiding of His power.” Such science to represent the God’s power could confuse the ignorant masses of the world.  Two gods are here represented at the same time. (It is good that God makes Himself manifest to the ignorant world today.)

“The burning coals went forth at His feet,” has a meaning, but what is the meaning? The ignorant do not know. “The burning coals” could refer to the anger and war among the people where His foot trod within the borders of the wicked. (Here God has feet – Spirits do not have feet and hands.) This Holy One does not refer to anyone of the past – not Moses, Jesus, nor Mohammed of the past 1,300 years. “For this Holy One the perpetual hills did bow, Cushan in affliction; the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.” (What is meant by the curtains trembling?) (Who is Cushan?)  “The mountains saw thee, they trembled.” (Who does this mean?)  “The sun and moon stood still in their habitation.”  (What does this mean?) The answers to the above questions are easy when we understand who this God called the Holy One coming from Mount Paran is.

The 13th verse should clear the way for such undertaking; for it tells us why all these great things took place on the coming of the Holy One from Mount Paran. It says: “Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people (not for all people) for the salvation with thine anointed (His Apostle). He wounded the head out of the house of the wicked by discovering the foundation unto the neck (by exposing the truth and ruling powers of the wicked race of devils).” “Cushan” represents the Black Nation which is afflicted by the white race. “The curtains of the land of Midian” could mean the falsehood spread over the people by the white race and their leaders trembling from being exposed by the truth. “The mountains” represent the great, rich and powerful political men of the wicked; they also are trembling and being divided and scattered over the earth. “The Holy One” is God in person and not a spirit!

CUCUMBER EYE GEL

Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim

images (37)

As-Salaamu ‘Alaikum Beloved Black Queens!

We should always try to look our absolute BEST! One way we can improve our appearance is by doing everything we can to eliminate puffiness under our eyes.

Periorbital puffiness is caused by several different factors. The most common is simply: aging. As we age, the skin under our eyes becomes thinner and the fluids that uphold our eyes begin to collect in this skin under the eyes.

Periorbital puffiness is usually more prominent upon arising from sleep. People who sleep on their stomachs have periorbital puffiness more often than people who sleep on their backs. And, people who sleep on their sides, generally have more periorbital puffiness in one eye than in the other.

This is because while we are sleeping in these positions, gravity causes fluids to build up and collect in the thin skin under our eyes. It is recommended that if one suffers from periorbital puffiness, she should sleep on her back and elevate her head with an extra pillow, in order to prevent these fluids from building up under her eyes.

You should make this change in your sleeping habits soon, Sisters, because if it is not remedied, after a few years, periorbital puffiness can become permanent!

There are other causes of periorbital puffiness, such as allergies, and eating salty foods.

The causes of allergies should try to be avoided by:

  • Staying indoors when pollen counts are highest, usually in mid-morning and early evening. Close the windows and run the air conditioner (window fans can draw in pollen and mold spores). If you go out, wearing eyeglasses or big sunglasses can help block pollen from your eyes. Driving? Keep the windows closed and run the air conditioner.
  • Limit your exposure to dust mites by encasing your pillows in allergen-impermeable covers. Wash bedding frequently in water that’s at least 130 F. If your mattress is more than a few years old, consider getting a new one. Old mattresses are often teeming with allergens.
  • Clean floors with a damp mop. Sweeping tends to stir up rather than get rid of allergens. Especially if a pet shares the house with you, consider replacing rugs and carpets, which trap and hold allergens, with hardwood, tile, or other flooring materials that are easier to clean. Go with blinds instead of curtains.
  • To stop mold from growing inside your home, keep the humidity under 50%.  That might mean using a dehumidifier, especially in a damp basement. If so, clean the dehumidifier regularly. Clean your kitchen and bathrooms with a bleach solution.
  • If your pet is causing your allergies, try to keep it outside as much as possible. At the very least, keep it out of your bedroom. Don’t let it share your bed.
  • Don’t rub your eyes. That’s likely to make symptoms worse. Try cool compresses instead.

Periorbital puffiness due to salt can be eliminated by limiting your salt intake.  Excess salt encourages fluid retention and may lead to puffy eyes.

Some temporary remedies for periorbital puffiness include cucumbers, wet tea bags, and potatoes, which are all natural astringents – chemical compounds that tends to shrink or constrict body tissues, thereby reducing puffiness.

You can simply grate a fresh potato and apply it to your eyes for about fifteen minutes. Or wet two teabags and put them in the freezer for fifteen minutes, then place them over your eyes until the swelling goes down.

Here is a recipe for cucumber eye gel, which significantly reduces periorbital puffiness in a relatively short amount of time.

CUCUMBER EYE GEL

Ingredients

2 oz aloe vera gel

1/2 large cucumber (peeled)

Directions

Blend cucumber.

Add aloe vera gel.

Refrigerate.

Apply for a few minutes in the morning, when you do your grooming.

CAULIFLOWER CRISPS

20130828_165211

INGREDIENTS

Cauliflower
Garlic
Onion
Butter
Salt
Italian Seasonings

DIRECTIONS

* Chop the florets of a head of cauliflower (however much you need) and wash prior to preparing, giving it enough time to dry completely. (Or you can just break them off by hand like I do 😉 )

**When you are ready to cook:

* Preheat oven to 375°

* Peel garlic cloves (as many as you want) and pierce with a fork

* Chop onion (however much you need and whatever size you want)

* Put cauliflower, garlic, onion, 2 tbsp. melted butter, a few shakes of salt and Italian Seasonings in an airtight container and mix well. (You can even use a Ziploc bag. 🙂 )

* Spread ingredients out on a baking sheet, place on top rack in oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes.

*  Lower heat to 350° and bake another 20 minutes.

This recipe was all right but I prefer my vegetables soft and buttery like this.

But everybody has different tastes. So I’m going to leave it here. 🙂
